What this involves
What happens every month
In a fixed window each month we run the security updates for the server and the framework, and go through the logs. The monitoring keeps running in between, because that is work for a machine.
Backups that have been tested
A backup every day, kept off the server your site runs on. Once a quarter we restore one to a test environment, because a backup that has never been restored is an assumption rather than a certainty.
If the site goes down
The monitoring sends an alert automatically as soon as the site stops responding, and we pick it up once we see that alert. If it happens outside office hours, that can become the next morning.
The legal requirements keep applying
Accessibility is not a one-off check. A new photo without alternative text or an altered button can drop the site back below the requirements, so we go over those points with every change we make.
Room for small changes
A text that needs changing, a photo to swap, a price that moves. That sits inside the monthly fee, so you do not have to raise a job for it and no invoice follows.
Even if we did not build it
Is your site somewhere else? We first check whether it is technically sound. Sometimes rebuilding is cheaper than continuing to repair, and then we say so.

What does maintenance cost?
It starts at the figure above, for a company site we built. An online store or an application costs more, because more is running and more stops when it breaks. You hear the figure before you agree to anything.
What happens if the site goes offline?
The monitoring sends an alert automatically and we pick it up as soon as we see it. If it happens in the evening or at the weekend, that can become the next morning: we are a small studio and not a 24-hour desk.
How many small changes are included?
Enough for ordinary upkeep: texts, photos, prices, opening hours. A new page or a new feature is a job, and you get a price for it up front.
Can you take over an existing website?
Yes. We first check whether the site is technically sound. After that you know whether taking it over makes sense, and if not, why not.
Am I tied in?
No, you can cancel any month. The code and the data are yours, so if you leave, everything goes with you.
Do you also maintain online stores and applications?
Yes. The same maintenance plan covers an online store, a client portal or internal software; only the monthly figure differs.
